The copy to sell my affiliate sites is done!

There’s a certain rush of energy you get when you let things go. Space freed up for new opportunities.

Have you noticed that?

So…what do you do when you’re overwhelmed? When there’s just way too much on your plate to get it all done?

You simplify.

You get rid of things. Like websites. Like clients. Like tasks. Like things you thought were important but…in the grand scheme of things, they’re really not.

(Unless a good life to you means sitting in front of the computer 4+ hours per day).

As for me?

I’m for a simple life. A daily hike. Yoga. Meditation. Time with Jacob, who’ll be 4 months in a week’s time. Time to read, relax, and enjoy the people around me.

I’m selling off all my affiliate sites, giving up all but one of my clients, and generally making room for focus. It’s quite a process, but it’s well worth it.

Today, I’ll be writing some copy to sell my sites…
Next week – calling my clients and informing them I’ll be stepping away.

So here’s to new & wonderful things – and renewed focus. And remember that just because something is shiny doesn’t mean you should go after it.

If I had to do it all over again, I would pick just ONE thing and stick with it. I’m trying to recreate that “starting all over,” now that I know.

Here’s a quick how-to if you’d like to simplify your life as well.

1. Do a mind dump. Make a FULL list of absolutely EVERYTHING you have to do, whether it’s a project, a goal, a task…
2. Organize your list into three columns: goals (what you want to accomplish), projects (what needs to happen for those goals to be accomplished), and actions (the small things you need to do to complete your projects).
3. What tasks are you doing that aren’t related to any project? Cross them off your list.
4. What projects are you working on that don’t lead you towards achieving any of your goals? Cross them off your list, along with any related tasks.
5. That’s it. If nothing else, this exercise should be very refreshing – and eye-opening. What have you been doing in your life that’s taking you nowhere you want to go?

Just sayin’. I’m moving towards simplicity (meaning, why have a separate blog and a separate website?).
